what does the hemi look like under the plastic cover
thanks for the picture. is the intake plastic? with all that plumbing, it looks like it would be hard to hide all the mess. but, i bet someone will be doing it soon. does the 6.1 look as cluttered as this too?
from what i've seen of the 6.1 the intake manifold looks much nicer. hunt around online and u'll see. ahh, i'm in a good mood,

i dont know if this is how it will look in production but it looks hell of a lot better imho. can't really tell by the pic, but the manifold doesnt look like plastic to me. looks to be aluminum...i could be wrong. i'm trying not to do too much research on the SRT8 cuz then i'll be sad that i didnt wait....

The 6.1 looks great. The 5.7 however is nasty. I'm not sure, but it looks like the intake is made of plastic? That can't be can it? I can just see that cracking nicely over time.
Shiltz- or anyone- I'm getting my 360 intake today and was wondering if the intake resonator needs to be removed from the fender well, and if so how it's done. I pulled the air box a few weeks ago just to check things out and it looks like the fender well may need to be removed?
Any input is appreciated.

I removed mine by pulling off the fender well cause that's how I read you had to do it which was a pain cause it was snaps and plastic rivets but read later on that you can just remove the plastic panel on the bottom and take it out from there, I belive that's held on by screws.
Thanx Shiltz. I'll try the removal of the platic cover method first.
Just got my 360 intake in a few minutes ago. Took a while to get it, but the kit looks good- can't wait to see how it works!

It doesn't really matter if you remove the intake silencer when you install the 360 CAI system, as it does NOT seal up tight against the hood. Trust me, I have one and measured the clearance. I posted my findings here in another posting, check it out.

Looks like a squid died on top of the engine hahaha. Hey, the 3.5L has something up on the HEMI, It looks better naked hahahahahahah. The 3.5L intake is made of a composite, sort of like the "plastic" used in Glocks. Alot lighter, I would think, not sure on the keeping the air cooler issue.

I like the looks with the cover myself, intake is just too busy with plumbing. The plugs are in the center of the head. I wish I knew someone with the stuff to chrome plastic, Id like my cover chromed...
I agree with StrippedHemi. I like the engine cover. The weight is really negligible @ around 2 lbs. It will look fantastic when I paint it, and it keeps the dust off. Check out this item for chrome cover ideas StrippedHemi; I'd rather paint mine but if your into the chrome thing, this cover looks real cool.
