Nothing ventured nothing gained, haha. You should have seen the magnum when I was installing the stereo hahaha. Now if I can just find that person that found the "trunk release" harness I be ok.

I jumpered it and nothing. Now i have been thinking, the stock hatch release handle is actually a switch. You either find the wiring in the cabin area or run a wire with a switch back to the normal place. You would need a door popper or two to jar the hatch enough to unlatch it.

Where is the best place to run wires through the firewall? I'm gonna do some under the hood illumination and am just gonna add em to my current switch for LEDs.

Hmm what I would do is hook up a mercury switch. You can also hook up a cutout switch so you can turn it off when you dont want to show it inside the engne bay.
