I hardwired my Valentine 1 and use the suction cup mount above and to the left of the mirror. I tucked the wiring under the headliner to the A pillar. I then partially removed the gray/black door & A pillar weatherstrip for access and put the wire under the A pillar, along the bottom of the dash and hard wired it into the cigarette lighter in the dash below the radio. Even though my vehicle had the smoker's package, the power for the lighter still cycles on and off with the ignition key.
Note: I needed to wrap the wire with some foam tape to prevent rattling in the headliner area and tie wrap the wire to the rear view mirror stem to keep the wire from pulling out of the headliner and letting the unit fall onto the dash if the suction cups come loose.

What type of pictures are you looking for? I didn't take any during the install and at this time all that's visible is the power wire coming out from under the headliner by the mirror. I might be able to be a little more descriptive with the install process if that would help.

Wire up the V1, put it as far behind the mirror as you can without obscuring the rear sensor then put the display in the mirror!

Well, I can't tell you all the steps involved as the process is pretty detailed but the remote display for the V1 is mounted inside the mirror and the mirror coating is removed to allow it to show through. I could also etch it to look more like a compass if you wanted a more stealthy display, simething like this:
