Is it considered HAI because of where the Air Element ends up? too close to the motor?

Its called a HAI cause it takes in hot air from the engine compartment, where as a cai takes cold air from out side the engine compartment.

TJW where does you aem pick up air? From inside the engine compartment or lower down by the ground?

the 2nd gen intakes pull from inside the fender well. even the stock intakes.

casper, its got a tube that run from the intake manifold to the TB, then from the TB to the inside of my fenderwell, outside of the engine compartment
