Dodge NeonThe sport compact car that took the world by storm. the Dodge Neon. Depending on the trim level you get, this sporty ride has something to offer everyone.
I have a 2000 Dodge Neon ES which comes with like 132 horsepower. As far as my engine, I have an AEM Cold Air Intake, AFX Underdrive pulley, Pacesetter header and Pacesetter Exhaust. This weekend, I will hopefully put my Accel 19 lb fuel injectors and my 60mm throttle body on my car. Listing all these mods, how much horsepower do you all think I have or how much will I have by this weekend?
Why so little? I have a cat-back system too! Since every part could increase anothers performance, I thought the header would give me like 10 hp and the cat system would give me like 5 and the Cold Air Intake would give me like 5. I didn't think the injectors would give me but like 1 hp, which you can't feel. I also thought the AFX Underdrive pulley would give me like 5-7 horsepower. I still haven't put on my 60mm throttle body, but I thought that would give me like 5 hp. Is it a possibility that the hp increases I am giving you is measured at the crank and not at the wheels.
Gary Howell said I would get like 20-25 horsepower; was he talking at the crank?
How much hp comes at the wheels of my car? 132 is measured at the crank right?
Yes sir. From the 2nd gen stock dyno graphs I've seen, its usually been from around 110-120ish for hp at the wheels...and torque being slightly higher than hp.
I dont mean to butt in on your conversation but I have 2 ask a stupid question...what is a pcm, whats the horspower gain and if its worth it where could I purchase one?
