What tires should I get????
I am planning on getting some rims and tires in about two weeks or so just in time for my track to open up. I'm not sure what kind of tires to get....I've heard a lot of good things about the Yokohama Parada Spec 2's. Basically here is what I plan on doing with them. They will be for summer only. I will use them at the drag strip for awhile until I get drag only wheel/tires. I am also should be running some road courses as well. I want something that can go in a straight line well....but more importantly won't let go in the corners. Any other suggestions? I also want something that wears fairly well, I think I've read both about the Yoko's. I'll have my stockers with blizzaks for the winter so snow won't be a problem. By the way....I'm getting Enkei RS7 wheels in gunmetal.

I strongly recomend one of the Nitto 555 series tires, which includes:
NT 555 - With one of the biggest contact patches of any tire available, provides excellent dry proformance. ZRW rated.
NT 555R - Designed for competition drag racing, the tire can dramatically reduce quarter mile times. While still delivering 15,000 miles of tread life under normal street use.
NT 555R2 - Built for road race and autocross competition, the soft-compound tire delivers maximun traction under severe racing conditions. W and Y rated.
I had NT 555's before I had to get new ones and had to go cheaper.
The Nitto NT-555R Extreme Drag Radial Tire is an exciting addition to the specialty performance radial tire segment of the Nitto Tire Product Line. With the NT-555R Nitto engineers succeeded in designing a DOT approved, drag racing radial tire. Nitto Tire demanded a tire that would outperform all drag racing radial tires, provide impressive control and handling, and still deliver up to 15,000 miles of tread life of normal street-driving use. NT-555R's are manufactured with the original tread depth of 6/32nd's of an inch and are constructed with a specially formulated soft racing tread compound to provide maximum traction. However, this soft and flexible tread will wear much quicker than tread compounds formulated for regular passenger cars. The Nitto NT-555R is designed primarily for competition drag racing.

Those sound not too bad...but I don't want to spend an outrageous amount per tire. And like I said, I would rather have something that is more fit for cornering then drag racing. I'm getting a 2 drag tires to put on my 2 14" steel rims.
So in a straight line isn't a huge deal. They just need to grip well in a straight line, cornering is probably a little bit more important.

I forgot to say which rims I'm getting....but that would be them on a black SRT4. I just need some tires!!!
Your best bang for the buck are the Falken Azenis sport RT-215. They are considered a competition tire, but they can easily be ran on the street. I run them on my car during the spring and summer months without any problems. They out perform both the YH Parada and es100, NT 450, MN Pilots, and GY eagles. Out of these that I ran the FK are the best. And for $42 each for 195-60-R14 you can't go wrong. They have an A rating for both traction and Temp. with a 200 treadwear rating.
Also for drag tires, I have two MT drag slick for sale. 20 x 8 for 14 inch wheels. I have around ten runs on them with plenty of tread left. Pm with questions

Whoa...
Those rims are kick ***. I've been looking for some just like those. I love the black. The price isn't bad for them either. I might get those myself. I'll probly be making the same thread in a few months. lol What are the dementions of the tire I would have to get If I got those rims? x/x/x profile, .ect
