How to check oil for a MTX

Default How to check oil for a MTX

Is it possible to check oil in a manual transmission ?

i believe with a MTX its either power steering fluid or break fluid.

Yep, pull the drivers wheel. there is a little black plug in the side of the transaxle, thats the fill.

to fill it on a ATX u go where the dip stick is right ?
since today was a nice day i did a full check on my car to make sure every thing was ok. i used the book to check the tranny fluid and if i did every thing correctly it was ok. i just thought i would know for future reference. cuz i got 2 manuals in my car and none are for my year (95 & 97). dunno if that matters.

Yeah fill it where you check it. Just make sure you have the motor running and warm when you do.

well luckily mine was fine. it wasn't low or to high, didn't smell bad so its still good. and it wasn't changed in color. and hopefully that doesn't change any time soon.

Just keep up with it any you will be fine, just don't try to be a MTX and neutral drop it.

lol. yeh as tempting as it is to chirp the tires its not worth a new tranny. o well...
