now my question is what kind of fuel would you run in this? it has 89 octane in it now and it will start but it wont idle on its own. i took it around the block and it didnt really have the power? im hoping its the gas? also this gas has been in the tank for about 2 years?

91 or higher and if the gas has sat that long...its bad with no fuel preservative...drain the tank and put 91 or higher

yes if you run the Performance CPU. you have to use 91 octane or better.

 

i see. im getting a compression test doner today. ill have it up here about 5 or 6 tonight. thank you all for your help so far!!. and im getting some 92 octane tonight. i have already drained the tank got 7 gallons out of it. i just threw it in our firebird and its been fine?

 

ok got compression test its 270 all the way across. so what type fuel should i use?

91 octane your high perf comp probably cranks the timing up so you should run 91. lol chevys run no matter what... one time my buddy had to take a leak and my gas tank was empty, he had been drinkin whiskey so we figured what the hell? best mod ever done to it.... added 50hp! i finally was able to almost keep up with the fords
