Common Dodge Neon Repairs and Problems
Having a problem with 2002 Neon, for some reason there is water in the back floorboards even when its not raining! No water at all on front seat floorboards. Have had it to several mechanics and they all tell me this is impossible even when they see it themselves. Has anyone else had this problem? Help! This is driving me crazy! LOL
engine cranks over, no spark. when I turn key on... No dash. no radio. no climate controls. no lights.
fuses and relays are all ok.
someone help me out!
also when car is off and key is removed... oil pressure light is illuminated.
I suspect a bad dash cluster? or a bad ECM?

I have 2003 neon, and had same problem. I would bang on the top of the dash a few times and would get the gauges to work again and car would start. Try that but obviously isnt a fix. Also I have to say I had to replace PCM since I had irregular electric problems but if your dash isn't working and banging on it will start it then there is your problem. I know it's a vague answer but hope it helps.
[QUOTE=bigchuck55;3148892]2003 dodge neon wont shift out of second to drive can anyone help the engine light on dash stays on shifting from park to 1st gear slow sort of in a bind
You car is in limp mode, my 2003 Neon was driving me crazy doing the same thing. The cars computer puts the transmission into limp mode when it detects a problem to stop further damage. Try resetting the battery or if you have a code reader, read the code and reset the computer that way. My problem was intermittent and resetting it worked for a while until finally my transmission shifter solonoid went out. It wasnt too expensive since I got a used one for $50 and put it in myself. Could also be the computer malfunctioning if you have electrical problems. Try to read the code at a AutoZone or something, its free and will tell you right where the problem is. There are a few good videos on Youtube if it turns out to be the solonoid on how to repair it yourself. Could just be a sensor...........do you know what code your getting?
