Yes, the intake will help. Also I have read that a short shifter will help you shift a little faster. And for the price maybe worth it.

intake would be ideal.. you have better output of air but still have the stock input of air... so its almost negating the improved exhaust..

far as i know anyway lol

Those are cheap on ebay

I thought about gettin one but I am just going to wait and work with what I have first... also wait for my friend to get his installed on his neon so I can compare the difference and decide whether I wanna have one or not.

as far as the dirt is concerned.. thats what the filter is there for right? :-p

tell him the better, cleaner(the filter) the colder the air... the better the engine can "breathe" and the better the engine works...

just like the human body...

Actually the filters on the CAI's are designed to give better airflow, but also trap more dirt. Also definatly not a myth. I haven'nt done this to my car, but that was the first thing I did on my ex truck, and noticed two things, a little more power and better gas mileage.

As long as you stay far far away from the foam style filters (to my knowlege nobody makes an intake for a neon that comes with a foam filter) You will be just fine. I don't own a vehicle without an performance intake on it.

Since you have a SOHC 2.0L most any bolt on mods will be 100% useless until you replace the cam in it. First mod should be to replace the stock cam with one of the Crane cams for it, then you can really start to modify it for actual and noticable gains.[sm=smiley2.gif]
