Default Firestone air bags on 3500 with Duals

Hey all
Anyone put the Firestone airbags springs on a 2007 DRW 4X4 with cat back duals yet.
My garage is trying to put them on mine now and the right side is ok ( after somoe mod of the exhaust ) but the drivers side is almost a no go, to the point of them asking me if I want to have a single exhaust a again.

Before you ask why I want the air bags with a 3500 , I will tell you , I have a truck camper ( just got it ) and it weighs in at 2900 lbs dry, with it on the truck, it sits level more or less, but I know when I load up to go and put the trailer tounge weight in there also , the old Dodge will be close to squatting , so I want to eliminate that possibilty.

Thanks guys

Ralph

I cant help you on this one. . .the only thing I can suggest is tweaking the route the exhaust is taking.

Does the truck ride smoother with air bags over regular ole shock absorbers? I've never ridden in a truck with air bags before.

You keep the shocks
the air bags are just for added cargo ( weight ) up to 5000lbs extra, the bags will go up to 100psi each, I only want them to help keep the Ram from squatting in the rear with the weight of the camper and the trialer tounge .

When / If they get them on I will get you some pictures, it is a cheap mod for what it does, at about $250.00 and you can install yourself, ity just bolt on, no drill

The Firestone Ride-Rite air bags are perfect if you have laised the front of your CTD 2" and want to keep your truck level when hauling heavy loads. If you choose to only want one air fitting to fill up you need to purchace a tee. People that haul campers might want to keep the air bags seperate so they can level there load. I went to home depot and purchased a pallet of 80lb bags of cement. The forklift driver coulnt believe my truck only squated about 1/2".

I have the firesstone bags on mine. Yesterday I put dual exhaust on mine. I went with MBRP cool duals, and they miss my bags by, about 2 inches, both sides .

Big rigs don't run a convoluted bag, all the kits i've seen have convoluted bags.

your thinking of air shocks they are differnt from air bags.
