Default UPDATE - TST CR49 price question

I was just wonderingat what price does one of these become a great deal. Ihave been checking out ebay andthis was listed.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/tst-p...QQcmdZViewItem

This is the newest listing, but his old listing, the high bid was $500.07 and there was a note on the listing saying he lowered his reserve. I emailed him and found he lowered his reserve to 501.07. To me this seems like a damn good price. I was thinking of seeing if he will do a buy it now for $525 or something.

Just wanted to get others opinion before I make a decision.

Thanks

525 for the R49 is a good deal. . .just make sure it will work with your engine first. . .theres a slight mod that needs to be done to the turbo on the 03-04.4 trucks.

considering that unit cots $899 I'd say that's a deal !

even if you need something else as Drew mentioned... it's still a deal.

I think the only thing you need in order to achieve higher boost numbers is a boost elbow that normaly comes with it for that model year since the turbo is mechanicaly wastegated and not electronicaly controlled like the 04.5's and up.

it should work since it doesnt connect to the turbo in any way, it just gets the boost reference from the MAP sensor. the elbow is inexpensive, but from the sound of it you probably have a smoking deal

Default HOLY CRAP.......Just made me a purchase

Just won the TST I talked about off of ebay. $525 shipped 2 day air. I don't think I will be able to sleep until it gets here.

I went back and forth with the guy for quite a while and found that it was on his dads 03 and the chip went bad, sent it in to TST and they sent back a brand new harness and module. Had him take pics of the receipts and confirmation of the fix.

His original listinghad a reserve price of $600 and he lowered it to $500 hoping the "Buyer lowered the reserve price" would get people bidding at the end. Ebay doesn't allow you to raise the reserve price on the same item if you relist it. I was the only bidder and got it for $500. Paid $25 for 2 day air; which is probably a rip off, but don't really care.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
