I used to work with a guy (an old german guy) he had an old VW rabbit diesel, which he called "Roger". Anyhoo, he would burn anything in that thing, used hydraulic oil, used engine oil, used cutting oil. I mean just about any indutrial waste he could pour in it. Now this was his beater car and he didn't care if he killed it. But that thing would run on just about anything, it would hickup and fart and smoke but run.
For my $40K truck it is only clean #2 diesel.

No, don't do it in the newer trucks. The 24V have too much electronics. My '05 guide says not to burn anything more than 5% biodiesel. My friend, who we make biodiesel togther, burns 100%, but he's got like a 95 12V, he knows a guy who burnt 30% in his '02 and it barley started once, the second time it didn't start at all.

you can burn B100 no problem. . .you just have to change the fuel filter alot when you start useing it. after a few tanks all will be well with bio.
the main reason for useing oil is to lubricate the injectors and the pump. this exact thing goes on in Iraq. the only fuel out there is JP8, a very 'dry' fuel. the aqddition of ND30 to the fuel keeps the pumps happy.

Used motor oil sounds like a fast road to a gummed up and nasty fuel system. With our oil being black as night already I'd really hate to run it through as fuel and put all those detergents, soot, carbon and god knows what else through the pumps and injectors. That, and if you're burning straight oil you better be running a oil change shop to keep yourself in supply.
