Default A dogs life...

Well, decided to mix business with pleasure yesterday... had to go out to two of my listings to swap signs out on the sign posts. Took Mr Louie with me along with his Christmas gift from me to give it his 1st try out with it. I figured I'd stop at the lake to see how the 4x4 spot is holding up since it's spring (I expect it to be mostly under water by now...). Needless to say we detoured to the other side of the lake since it was between the two properties. No 4x4ing spots here!

But Louie had a blast...

Pic 1 is w/o the vest (Louie..."I think I can Dad!!!"). Some of you may remember he cant swim too well... sinks like a rock.

Pic 2 panic sets in (Louie... "Dad...!!! HELP!!!"). The beginning of the end lol, good thing he was on a leash!

Pic 3... Louie... "Oh, this is how it's done?"

Pic 4... "I'm off to the races!!!"

good thing he was on a leash... after he picked it up he would have kept going towards the center lol. Man that dog had so much fun yesterday... anyways, I think the CTD forum needs an off topic sub-forum lol...

My dog loves my pontoon boat, I take the nieces and nephews out and we park in the middle of the lake and they will jump off itand climbback on all day and the dogs are right there with them and have a ball.

The dogs got the hang of the ladder quick and all you had to do is hold their collar and support them from falling back and up they came and jumped right back off.

Does the dog adapt to the extra bouyancy pretty quick, or is it a long process?

I have never seen one of them on a dog before. And if the dog tired out, that jacketwould keep the dog afloat?

My life vest was always a tracter trailer inner tube.......................LOL.

Good luck with ALL our rides.

My wife seems to think it's the hair and the oil in the hair that keeps them floating. Since Louie has little hair that doesnt work well for him. He has alot of muscle and little fat, since we all know muscle weighs more than fat, he sinks pretty quick. I'm hoping to get him out several more times so that he can work his way off the vest and be able to do it without it.

the work part of the day included stopping by the print shop to pick up 2 new custom signs for the sign posts, stoping by the mls office to get another sign to go under one of them and then delivering them. Both properties are in the foothills past Folsom Lake so notto take advantage of the opportunity would be a crime lol. I'd like to find a place closer for him so he's can do it a little more often.
