I think you guy's may be onto something.

I never really noticed then compressor kicking on or off. It always sounded the same to me. I did the Demon trick tonight one more time with one more can of R-134a. I used the wire in the plug thingy, and you could "hear" the compressor pull the engine down with the wire in. I let the R-134a fly and i FINALLY got the gauge into the blue area. I couldn't get it all the way to the top of the blue, but I got it there. I plugged the plug back onto the evaporator thing and now the gauge finally read in the blue.

WHOO-HOO !!

So I took the truck on its 20 minute drive just as Demon suggested and I noticed that while the AC is kinda cold, now it isn't quite as cold as it was before. Now I'm starting to think it might be in my head and that I'm going crazy.

While sitting in the driveway, I try to take notice of the compressor wether it's kicking on or off. I can't notice. I get in the truck, turn the AC on and off, and NOW I can notice the distinct difference. I'm now starting to think that YEAH, maybe the compressor IS on all of the time !!

So where is this switch?

Is it difficult to change?

Do I hafta drain all of the AC in order to do it ?

Is this a job for a professional ?

Do I need to take a road trip up to Demon's to have it done right ??

Thanks guy's !!

that switch (on top of the accumulator, the one you've been using the jumper on) Jumper the harness like you've been doing and let the a/c run for a little while. With it running mneasure resistance across the switch, it should be "OL" infinate resistance when things start freezing up. To change it you'lll have to recover the refer.
