Been driving the 6.7 around for the last two days and loved everything about it. (but I am comparing it to a 7.3 power stoke)
I am getting about 13.3 mpg driving in town with 100 miles on the truck. Will that get better a the truck breaks in?
If your really really really worried about MPG's - - go by a honda - - dude this is a CUMMINS for god's sake - - we blow black smoke - - we spin tires - - we make small children cry - - that is the point of our rigs
The milage is always going to 'suck' by tree hugger standards. When you go changing out tires or adding chips your going to change it. Just be safe alwasy assume it is going to go down.
Give it 10-15,000 miles. Remember w/ all the big three diesels out there w/ the new engines. All give more power and strict emissions now. The fuel mileage will drop w/ the new ones compared to the pre- emission stuff put on. Companies are now starting to come out w/ programmer/tuners w/ these new engines. So if that's the route you want to go. You can increase mileage alittle and morepower.
