egt's
just installed guages last w/e and was surprised at how high the egt's were. I can hit 15-1600 no problem , not even pullin anything. going to pulling a 34' 5th wheel through the rockies all summer is this going to be an issue? I'd like to get some idea what egt's you guys would consider normal, I always thought 1250 was alright but would get out of the throttle if it got much higher than that.thanks in advance

RE: egt's
that's probably normal for bone stock since the air and fuel is so restrictive. You need to open up the exhaust some and let her breath !. Try a cat back system and a good CAI. That should help bring them down a little.
Where did you install the pyro probe at ? Between the 3rd and 4th cylinders is the optimal place. If they're close the 5 or 6, you will see much higher readings as those cylinders run hotter.
