Well there you go... Truck is @ the stealer and...
yours sounds like it's not downshifting into 2nd then 1st... if you get it into 3rd and put it in tow/haul mode and start to slow down (coast) you should see it downshift, then at 25 mph, the TC should un-lock.
forgot to answer your question... mine was not fully shifting into 2nd consistantly and when it downshifted, it went with a clunk from time to time. if I manually shift it, it works better but it's still a problem. the dealer today told me the fluid is burnt, last week it wasnt so I'm assuming it's gone from bad to worse...

can you imagine the grief I'd get if i dared take my truck in. IMO, you're way better off going to your tranny guy.
What I've heard about ATS and/or Suncoast is.... ATS's flex plates aren't all that because they don't flex. This in turn will put more wear on the input shaft than necessary.

As you have decided to go with your local trans shop it's moot at this point. If your local shop knows what it's doing you should be good for a very long time.
