Default NEWB ???s

newb here... first time dodge owner- used to drive an 01 1ton cummins crane truck for work, since then i've gone through x2 ford f450 powerchokes (first one died @ 60k and the new ones not too far from it...) missed the old dodge so much i had to go out an buy myself one!!!

just curious what you guys prefer to run in the 5.9L cummins as far as;

1) exhaust
2) lift + tires
3) programmers

this one is going to be my personal ride... i drive a 07 ford f550 powerchoke (not by choice...)

you've got a nice longbed- that's what i originally wanted but the swb quad cab is the ONLY one i could find that still had the 5.9L... so how's the sound minus the silencer ring and muffler???

it sounds great! i have an aero on my truck along with another straight thru muffler to give it more of a free flow with a sound better than stock but not to loud. my ring is out aswell and on my truck i think it only bumped the turbo sound up anywhere from 5-10% but who knows....im runnin a stock air box and no chips...

1. Magnaflow SS5" turbo-back into dual 4" after the muffler
2. 3.5"F/1.5"R KORE Chase series kit w/ 35" Toyo ATs
3. BD Power Pup right now, looking at TST or Edge

1) No upgrade to exhaust. Yet
2) 6" superlift, with various skyjacker parts, 35" procomp extreme mud terrain
3) No tuner yet

just level it out, stacks, and dont worry about a programmer. . .just from the exhaust you'll have a grin from ear to ear

I missed this thread and apologize for starting another one with the same substance. I am switching to Mobile one tonight after work as it worked great on my Hemi exhaust and filter are my biggest worry's as I don't wanna screw that up. I ran the Magna-Flow on my HEMI but I know the Cummins is different. ALL this info is fantabulous and thanks again.
