I just completed my transmission service. I dropped the transmission pan, replaced the filter, re-torqued the valve body bolts, adjusted both bands, and installed a new TCI Deep transmission pan. I then dropped the cooler return line to the transmission, filled up the pan with new ATF+4, ran the it in neutral pumping fluid into a five gallon bucket, repeated this process until it was full. Finally I re-connected the transmission cooler line back onto the transmission, ran the vehicle until the transmission was up to temperature and ensured that I had the correct amount of ATF+4 on the dipstick. I also sampled the transmission fluid for an oil analysis but I do not have any other sample to compare it to yet. I am going to use this procedure on the next service. The local dealer wanted $450 to service the transmission. Two hours was the time required to complete this task without rushing things. If anyone else has Transmission oil Analysis result I would be interested in getting a look at them.
