I thought diesel was a by product of making gas, now I sure it has to have more done to it with the new low suffur rules, I was were I could buy both over the 4th and the LSD was cheaper than ULSD
You are 100% correct it is a byproduct of makig gasoline. They can fuge the ratio up or down a little but not much.

Diesel is less than unleaded here, has been for a while by at least .20 or so.

lets not forget that in most of Europe they are paying $6.00-$8.00 bucks a gallon.
There paying for the health care and other things through the gas taxes, has nothing to do with the price they pay for gas

If I didnt have to pay for health care Icould certainly afford much higher fuel prices.

I swear this is how they come up with their prices ...

I have to agree... Where I live diesel fluctuates between 10 cents cheaper to 30 cents more expensive then gas (reg for cheaper and premium for more expensive) however I take a 30 min drive to the "city" and it is cheaper by 20+ cents depending on where you buy... There is no rythm or reason, it doesn't even match the increase in diesel use during harvest season or anything...

As far as the whole 9-11 thing, think of this. Most of the military vehicles burn diesel, so if we go to war then the military is going to burn a hell of a lot more fuel, hence driving the price up like a ga-billion people bought diesel cars. Just my 2 cents.
