Lady told me that she had a malfunction with a receptacle at her house. that it had tripped the breaker.

now, this happened some time before she called me (like months before).

heres what I found...

you be the judge.....all I can say please have a qualified electrician do your wiring. if youre not sure, pm me or post pics here. she could have lost it all....

being an ex electrician...all I can say is WTF!!!

 

Another WELL insured/lincensed irrigation company- HORRIBLE -Very lucky here house didn't burn down.

 

She is extremely lucky. Could have easily been much much worse.

 

that looks like the floresent light that burned up in my basement. . .the ballast was FRIED!!!!

I now have a GFI in that outlet. . .that aint happeneing again.

just one question. . .I trip the breaker to the circuit that controlls that outlet, no power since a light wont turn on. . .yet my hand brushes the ground and hot wire and I about jump out of my pants. . . . . . . . .WTF!!!!!!!

 

You should tell her to replace that support beam(second to last pic).... That looks like crap.....

what year is the house???

the older houses landed the grounds on the neutral bars which in turn sent power back on the grounds...not too much, but enough. especially when you have a heavy load on a neutral ....


I painted that section today while watching this monsoon storm roll in from the north east!!

her next project is to have a false brick or rockface put on the exterior walls.

 

yea I did. she claims that terminix was out a while back for her termite problem....hate to see the rest of the place [:'(]

she would rather live there blind to the whole thing instead of fixing it.

the story goes that the builder promised that the water would never intrude the structure. if you look at the pics, you can tell:

1) mobile home

2) wood frame structure at ground level

3) caulk was never cleaned up and replaced yearly or so.

4) termites invaded

now the place is worth a hell of alot less than a pile of scrap wood!!!

 

What did she have GTE breakers, there the only one's I know you can weld with and go dead short without tripping out.
