When I turn on my air conditioner it barks kinda loud when the compressor kicks on, is this normal (I mean it like shakes the truck and everything)??

mine does it as does my dad's, we both have '06s. it's really bad when the truck has sat for a couple of days. i assume it's normal.

 

mine does it, not bad, but I know when the Air compressor is on.

 

i got a 06 and when i turned my ac on hi it vibrates they said some flap was broke so they fixed it a 3 hour job ended up being about 7 hours but thats the dealership for ya lol and i asked about that loud thump and they said on 06s thats normal because somthing a bout some gate being electronicso it thuds open sorry dont know much about vehicles

 

No vibrations or barks here. I am not able to tell when my A/C compressor is running.

 

My 06 will make noise if it has sat for awhile.
But every so often I will get a smell .It is hard to discribe..I want to say it is a silicon kinda smell.

 

every 3rd gen I have been around does it. . .my first thought was I just dropped the compressor, however apun further exploration I found it was quite common anddoesnt do any damage.

 

Sweet!! I figured it wasn't bad, but I had to check.

It does do it alot worse when it sits for a while. I know it is bad, but sometimes my truck will sit in the garagefor 4-5 days without moving then it makes aprettyloud noise, haha.
