Hey Guys,

Heres the deal. I got a 2003 YZF up for sale at $2700. A guy wants to trade me heads up for a 2001 Yamaha Raptor 660 that is pretty much in perfect condition that he claims could easily bring $2700. I know everything about bikes, nothing about 4wheelers. So for YALL that ride, HELP me out! Good trade? Bad trade? or is it pretty fair?

what are you wanting for a quad? i have an 02 raptor that i love to ride with. they are great quades, but the 01's are known for having trans problems. If he has changed the starter clutch and got the trans updated then it would be a good trade in my opinion. pm me if you've got any other questions

 

Is the Raptor bone stock? I had a 03 with a lot of upgrades.

 

bone stock...no upgrades at all insept new tires.

 

Very true statmentI have had 2 Raptors for the girls,no problems they have a**** load of torque, My dad has a 2001 and has had no problems however he is 60+ he still tears up the dunes but if it was mine I am sure it would have ghad a new tranny by now. I will stick with my built banhsee

I say no trade. it is older and you can get something newer for a few hundred more with upgrades.

No trade man, that 660 is probably only worth maybe $2,300-$2,500 around here by me. Of course I am not sure what you are trading?... it might be a good trade if your bike isn't really worth $2,700 ?

 

I'm goin to barge in, but I will prob buy a 4wheeler in next year. What is a good one that has an auto tranny? Want light weight for the little sahara and not super fast but fast.
