I am assuming you have more than just the stock leafs on your truck?

But it handled the load and the truck felt solid and not over worked, but I wouldn't make a habit of it, but Idid want to see what I could handle if needed.
Should have seen the guy in the 1500 who was betting my bumper was going to hit the ground, he told me after they loaded the blocks he was impressed.
So it would take a hell of a lot tongue weight to squat even a 2500
That's the exact reason I stepped up to the 2500. My half ton was no more than a car with a box on the back. A few hundred pounds and I was dragging the ***-end. I haven't had a chance to really load my 2500 yet, heaviest I've had so far is a full load of firewood in the bed and it never moved. I'd a been close to the bump stops with the half ton.
I would say the AC issue is probably true. The wife whines about it because she is an AC machine but listen I made the Vegas trip 2 weeks ago in 120 degree heat in the middle of the day with four people inside and not one complaint. It has been between 100-105 here in Socal the last week and humid as a Mississippi just miserable but not one issue with the AC so though it does not blow as hard as some might like it does keep you very cool.
In stop and go traffic the quad cab heats up in regular mode, I just keep it in recirc so I can see where in that big cab with the same A/C you would have problem.
The biggest problem is remembering to turn it back to normal before shuting it off so you don't get the dog breath in your face whenyou start the truck again

Drew my load was a bit top heavy, I could have done 70 as long as I didn't turn the wheel or stop fast.
But you got to love our trucks, not perfect , but a great truck and look at all the good friends that come with them, even had a woman in a 1500 tell me my truck was sexxy, made my week

as a comparison.. that same 1440lbs squated my ram 1500 4".. which basically leveled it...so i got some timbrens. .then it squated 2".. and just in case there are some "overload ****'s" on the forum.. yes i know it was overloaded.. but it only got towed 160 miles in the spring..then 160 in the fall.. 320miles a year.. and i upgraded to 2300lb payload tires.. blah blah blah.. [:'(]
anyway... herb.. i think your truck is sexy too (in a non-homo way)
no issues with the AC so far..but havent spent long periods idling either..
p.s. i'd sell those half ton timbrens cheap..

Top Kick is to big to run around in, the few I known that had to have them got rid of them for riding to rough for them, never mind trying to find a parking place or getting in a parking garage
