Need Help???
I registered my vehicle as commercial yesterday and they told me i need to have TARE and GVW decals on my truck...
Where do i find out the info that is required for this? I am sure that GVW is printed on the decal inside the driver door, but what about TARE?
If anyone knows where to find these or knows the actual numbers, please let me know!
Thanks!

RE: Need Help???
If you go to www.dodge.com and click on the owners tab at the top of the page you will see an entry for the trailer towing guide.
Select your vehicle. It will list the GVWR - should be 10100 or so. This number is also on a sticker on the drivers side door.
The tare weight is the vehicle weight and is listed as 7474. I don't think this number is on the door sticker.
You can also get the tare weight by driving down to a truck stop such as Pilot or Flying J that has a scales and weigh your truck. You might also be able to go to a weigh station on an interstate near you. Call your highway patrol or state police and check with them to see if they will do it if you pull in. You might also google truck weighing and your city name and or truck scales and see who might do it.
Good luck

I must sound like an idiot with all these questions... But got fined huge the other day going over the scales... By the time i got out of there it was $7500
Is GVW and CGVW the same thing... 10500lbs seems low for a one ton? no?
The company i am working for made me register my truck for 6700kg or 14770lbs? Why would i register for this if i cant even safely tow this?
