19K miles and my lower Ball Joints are history. Found out when I tried to get an alignment done after moving up from 32's to 35's. Hoping they will warrenty it. We will see......
nothing new here. Dodge should come out with METAL ball joints instead of styrofoam and they should have grease nipples on them to so that a person can make it off the dealership lot without having them go
Actually Ball joints should be covered under warranties and such these days. The factory considers them a "non-serviceable" item. My old Dakota had 'em go bad with 95k on the clock, I had a service contract covering me to 100k, new ball joints cost me $50.
That SUCKS !! I'm not too optimistic about the warranty though. Good luck with that ...
Yar! I agree. Probably will have to take it in the keister with this one. I bought a "service contract" through a third party (not Chrystler) so maybe they will pony up the dough.
Might I add...Screw you Dodge for making non-serviceable ball joints out of playdough for a heavy duty truck.
Well I must have slaughtered the correct goat. The dealer gave me zero trouble about my lift and installed a new set of ball joints. I am now looking to source the MOOG greasable type when these new set of paper mache ball joints fail.
Rockauto.com has the Moog lower ones for your ride. Don't know about uppers, the Spicer ones are greasable too. Wow, I thought ball joints for my truck were bad, yours are twice what mine ran.
