ive been takin it pretty easy on the new truck, couple of my buds have tried to race me and ive been backin down from all of them. now dont get me wrong ive stepped on it plenty of times to pass slow drivers or when pulling out in heavy traffic, but im tryin to keep my foot out of it for the most part. well the other night on my way home, i turned under the overpass, to go back around and get on the interstate and the road goes from two lanes down to one and there was this toyota that was ridin my *** and then hangin right on my back left fender the whole time so when we came out of the turn i accelerated normally and i notice hes trying to pass me but isnt having that easy of a time. i could hear his exhuast (actually didnt sound that bad for a 6 cyl) and his truck was really workin hard, so wait til hes right up next to me and tryin hard to get in front before the lane narrows, give it about half throttle, hear the turbo wind up and just pull away from him like its nothin...i have to say im completely in love with this truck...so much power compared to that 4.7 i used to have. i was tryin to keep it stock for as long as possible except for minor things but i think ive already caught the bug. i had a dream about ranch hand bumpers last night...

I've had several of the v8 titans try to pick on me only to leave them in a black cloud of smoke...

 

hey man get that thing to 500 miles or so then you gotta let lose on it. Then you can race ur buddies and be helping break in ur truck while spanking them as well. It's a win win situation for you man.

 

haha its already got about 600 on it.

 

I'd still take it easy at least until that first oil change. They'll be PLENTY of time afterwards to tear em up, without tearing IT up.

 

lol i hear ya im still takin it easy...gonna get to tow with it for the first time tomorrow so im lookin forward to that. im expecting a big improvement over the 4.7.

 

not bad. i havnt gotten around to doing any kinda of racing or anythign in my just yet lol
