Default 2007 Block warmer

Ok, I called the dealer and have been told I need to buy some sort ofextensionfor the block heater and plug it into somewhere on the right side of the block.

I haven't gone out to the dealer yet, and I haven't looked for myself at the block. Is this something I need to have them install or is it something I can do? If I can install myself, what would I be looking for on the truck itself?

You will have to buy the block heater cord, they don't give you one. Go to your local Cummins place and get it from them cheaper than the stealership. You can also find them on Ebay.

Thanks to the two of you. I am a mature woman, and though I know a little bit about vehicles, this is my first diesel and have much to learn.

Dokie Welcome to our little fun place.....stick around (please I could use some backup every now and then )

As for the block heater...it'll be on the right hand side; kit comes w/ the cord & some clips to keep it in place.

Parts/Service-

If no one has told you lately, let me..... your perfect, exellent picture, just what I needed. Guess I am a visual gal.

Kev_a_Az-

You made me laugh, "I found you air support", super, great photo. I retired as a First Sergeant with 24 yrs from the Guard/Reserve last year. Total mobilization time was about 8 yearsactive dutywith 30 months between Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Glad I did it, glad it is over.

Lilfroger-

Rock on!

FroneDaddy-

You say sucker....I am thinking Gentleman! Just a gut feeling.

To all others, thank you for time and sharing your knowledge.
