Default just ordered

A 2008 2500 laramie. Always wanted a CTD.
Sticker was 49,500 paid invoice 44700-1000 -4500 in rebates=39200 and got 17,250 for my ram 1500 2004 with 27k on it. Only paid like 24k for it new.

I think I did well what does everyone else think? Any advice for a new CTD owner. Break in etc...

Assume I know nothing...

Also see lot of mpg listed but was getting around 11.5 mpg on my 1500 and expecting 16-18 on the CTD.

Look for advice and trying to keep stock for a while.

First, change your name to 2008cummins. Minus the "g". [8D]

Second, welcome.

I've got an older CTD (see below), so I'll let one of the other guys give you break-in tips.

Not a problem. I've only had mine for about a year (bought if off the father-in-law), so I understand the learning curve. I can only say that after owning even an older one, I can't imagine driving anything else. They're amazing.

We just got rid of our 6.7 cause it was getting around 10 MPG in town....my 5.9 get over 15 doing the exact same drive.

As for break in ....that's easy Drive it like you stole it and put a load on it once in a while They don't run happy tell ya work em

10 mpg wow? Read some mpg on the page for mileage and looked like some decent #'s also saw some 5.9's with low #'s. more the engine and how you drive then the motor in general?

Hope so.
