Tommygunz, I took no offense from you, I knew that you were asking for a dealers perspective that was honest and didn't try to make the guys that post here look stupid as a previous post from another dealer employee attempted to do.

 

I changed the key switch on a friends Mustang after the stealer ship wants 700. to do it, never done one and had it done in a half hour.

And to think the people who have paid that for them to do it,I can see making a profit, but I don't think we need to making a yacht payment for the owner every time we do have to go in

What year TC did you have? I used to have a black 88tbird tc as my first car. Fast car for being so big with such a small engine.

I have 2 88's one is silver and hopefully geting a 460 for drag duty since insurance totaled it because of a harness fire, the other is geting custom red/black paint, complete 2.3t build, bottom up drag build, the red one is my baby lol

 

I ended up rebuilding mine after losing a valve seat. Damn electric fans quit working on me and I was on a desereted backroad. She stayed cool over about 40mph and on that winding road sure made for a fun drive. I passed an old 70's corvette and he wanted to race after that but he couldn't keep up in the corners. Got it home without boiling it over, popped the hood to see the exhaust manifold glowing red. Next morning I fired it up and the exhaust valve seat on #3 cylinder had worked its way outta the head. Boy that was a fun car, surprised I didn't get a ticket in it.

 

winter garden pd used to pull me over or "expired tag" about onece a week till I filed a harasment thing. "sir, your tags are expired" "officer, its march, they expire in august." but I finally lost the rings in it running 20psi no wastegate. this time Im looking for a hy-35, got a front mount and explorer radiator.
