I don't know if it had any effect on the pump. some will say yes, some will say no. I am going to get a seperate system when time and money permits it. until then I ran it blended for a month or two and it was fine until the pump went out. I ran it sraight a little bit as well. In Phoenix summer we do not see below 100 degrees even at 2 a.m. so temp will not be aproblem then, cold weather is a pita. Exhaust smell does change a bit but I did not notice a distinct smell, just different. I am going to run pump diesel until it warms up a bit more after I get my truck tomorrow and the oil is filtered quite well as I see the set up the guy has.

What are you looking at for this? Home/Custom made or a kit? If a kit - what are you looking at? I haven't made up my mind at all which kits I'm looking at, if at all. All that needs to be done is having a second tank and lift pump with a switching system of some sort. In my situation, it would need to by heated, and all the fuel lines would need to be insulated and/or heated. Connecticut does not have any nights that stay hot enough to run straight veggie without heating it.

Good luck again with your current repair, btw!

I am looking for a kit, not sure which one yet. not too concerned on heating it as Phoenix Az is not as cold as any part of Connecticut. basically a tank, pump and lines. and switching system. Thought of a aux in bed tank and then run all the plumbing. I am not sure yet and before I drop the cash will figure it all out.

The second tank in the bed probably won't work for me. I run a cap on my 8 foot bed about 99 percent of the time and need the room for some heavy musical gear on the weekends. I would be too afraid of damaging the tank. I'm sure there is room under the bed. Maybe on the passenger side. I wouldn't mind fabricating and strapping something in, but I'm not much of a fabricator, and the last thing I want is for the modification to look like sh*t or unsafe.

I guess it's off to spend some more time scraping the 'net for more info...

Yea, as far as the safety of the inbed tank. they are built in a tool box case. The passenger side has the exhaust under the truck, unless you go with some stacks....
