Default WVO in Diablo

Today I picked up some Waste Vegetable Oil that has been filtered well, no additives to make it bio. I had a little less then 3/4 tank and I filled it with this stuff. I did a lot of driving to day and so far I am very impressed. I seam to be a little quieter and no noticable power difference in either direction. I have today used over a 1/4 tank of gas between driving everywhere and messing around with Kevin and Sharky.I will keep you all updated. it was about 55 degree's outside today as we had some rain. So far I am impressed but I guess I will really know in a week or two.

Are our engines approved to run WVO?

This morning was colder then expected. 45 degree's by the trucks external thermometer, 43 degree's by Yahoo. The truck had a little bit of a rough time starting but once started and warmed up it was fine. Normally we do nto see days this cold in my part of Arizona but if ti happens again I have a back up vehicle to drive as well as some work lights I can put under the tank and around the truck for a little heat. So far so good.

We have heard about people trying to use biodiesel, but I think that you are the first that I have heard to use grease. Does your exhaust smell like mcDonalds, a Chinese wok or no different?

I guess you aren't ready to change your user name to Criscojimmy?

Latest update. after last nights running around and all of the running around today I put close to 250 miles on the truck. I added another 5 gallons of wvo, 6 ounces of diesel clean anti gel formula, and 11 gallons of fuel. So far everything is well. I have noticed when fueling that the exhaust smells a little different ( I always leave it running when I fill up). Smoke is still available on demand. So far the experiment is a total success. I will keep more info coming. on Wedensday I will change my fuel filter.

Right now I am keeping it at aproximately 30% wvo and 70 pump diesel. I have been using a additive to help witht he cold streak we have right now but that should end soon.
