mileage re-flash??
so i called the dealer today and told them i am getting back mileage with my truck and that i have heard on the internet that there is a reflash that dodge offers to tweak my computer to get better mileage. he said i have to come in and they have to run tests to see if there is anything wrong or if they have a program for my model to fix mileage. its going to cost $83.00 to run the tests to find out, but then he said if there is somthing that can be done or fixed the 83 will go torwds repairs but if nothing is found or can be done they keep that money for running the tests.....
i got around 10 mpg plowing snow, i was getting 13 in the city untill i changed my exhaust to be more free flowing and now im getting 11.5 and im not sure where im at on the freeway but b4 i changed my exhaust i was getting 14.5 give or take a little. i have almost 25k on my truck and my fuel filter and air filter are updated.
anyone have this reflash done or know of anything about it?

parts/service thanks for the site! as i was reading it it states that its just gonna add 1 mpg, and make my over head more accurate. you dont happen to know a ball park of what this costs if i was go to my dealer?
and would this mess with my power, i seem to remember someone in this forum got it done and said that the truck did not seem as fast, or powerfull after it was done and that they regreted it... atleast i think it was a mileage reflash[:-]

It would be covered under your warranty... If you are out of warranty, it would cost about an hours worth of labor. I honestly don't know if it would hurt your power. I don't think that it should, but haven't talked to someone that has had it done to see if it hurt their's.
