OMG. . .DHL = SUX (rant)
alright. . .three weeks ago Lorie and I ordered a laptop through dell. . .she got ahold of an employee pricing number and also gets 1/2 of the cost of the system through work. . .well, fast forward to last thursday. Lorie gets an E-mail from Dell stating the computer and the carrying case was shipped through DHL. . .COOL, or so we thought. Friday comes and all that is delivered is the freaking carrying case. I look online at the tracking numbers and I see that the laptop itself was undeliverable due to no one being at home to sign for it. I call DHL and call them out of some B.S. on that one. . .someone was here, infact the driver waved back at the individual who was here(who happened to be my mother). we get things straightened out and was confirmed the package will be delivered on monday(today). Alright, or so I thought. I waiste all day waiting on a truck that never showed up. . .and when I called then AGAIN I got another B.S. excuse that the driver couldnt find the address. . . um. . bro. . .I'm one of THREE houses on this street. . . .infact if you kept going when you jump the curb you would plow through my house. So the dispacher looks at the drivers log and notices my address is not even on the list. . .however my name and street number are right, but he went to another part of town to a road that has NOTHING in common with my street name. . .IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I give this guy hard turn by turn and even mileage direction to my house just so the looser with absolutely no sense of direction can hopefully find the white house at the end of the culdesac. I swear this guy needs a freaking garmin GPS hardwired to his brain just so he can find is shoes in the morning. . . .
I know the life of a delivery boy can be hard. . .I used to work for UPS in a previous life. . . but dam. . .you get the address right for one package but totaly screw the pooch on another. I'll be realy livid if it isnt here tomorrow. . . . . . . . . .

I feel your pain man. I ordered a laptop from Dell 2 months ago. Same deal,, DHL lost it. I got the printer but not the laptop. Called dell and they had no idea that it had never been delivered. Needless to say,, 2 weeks later, after alot of cussing and fussing with both dell and dhl,,, I finally got my new laptop. I hear from others that DHL pretty much sucks. The guys steal alot of stuff, especially electronics (ie, laptops).
they put on extra help this time of year so the guy just might be a high school custodial technician LOL! You would think for what it cost to send a package through them, every vehicle they have should be equipped with a GPS.
Hope it shows for you... I know how it is when you expect a package and driver error/negligence screws it up

it is nice that you have to sign for it. . .heck, if the guy was to take something it should be the carring case. . .if it doesnt show up tomorrow I know dell will know what kind of service DHL is offering.
BTW, I worked through the x-mas season with UPS. street maps go a long way in that buisness. . . .now GPS's should be standard for every truck so the delivery boy's know where to go.

Yeah.. I had an issue with DHL... Dumb Hillbilly Losers..... I had ordered a pair of dress shoes for the wife.... everything went fine... got an e-mail saying they were on the way... .thru DHL.... ok... I did'nt get a tracking #.. no problem... I went to their website and looked at tracking times.... saw what it was... and said.. ok They'll be here monday... It was already Thrusday or Friday.... OK fine... Monday comes.. loookin out the window.... and i see that Yellow pimple driving in my community... went sumwhere else... and left... gone.. did'nt come back... dammmmm.... no sexy time... hehe... ... but anways... I find out after... I get the tracking number.... and call DHL... and they are like.... Ohhh... yeah.... We are'nt gonna deliver that to you... We will bring it to the post office and they will bring it to you within a couple days.... Pissed me off... they have it in their warehouse... which is about 20 minutes away... and i can't get it? dammed bastards....
Definitely stay away from DHL. Have heard many, many bad things about them from posts on Archerytalk.com. Guys buying bows and other equipment and it either doesn't come or, more time than not, showed up busted to bits. Imagine the hatred when your brand new $1000 bow comes "ready to assemble" on your porch.[:@] Also heard they send there stuff by post office from depot to depot to cut costs. Stay away at all costs!
