hey guys, on an opinion matter, what do you think is the highest lift you can use with 35's without it looking stupid or the tires too small? pics would be helpful as well... thanks!
You can run 35's on a 2500 with just a 2" spacer/leveling kit. I've got 33's on mine and have plenty of room for 35's. I think the only draw back is that you have to run aftermarket wheels due to backspacing. The factory wheels have more backspacing and will allow the tires to rub when turned full lock to the left. If you want to keep the factory wheels then you'd have to go with a 3" lift. A 5" lift will give you plenty of room for suspension travel if you off-road your truck. If not, a 3" will work fine. I like a truck's tires to look like they fit w/o a large gap in the fenderwells. I don't have pics yet. I'll try to get some up tomorrow, maybe!!
like stated about...a 3.5 - 5 inch lift wont look too too bad with 35s if you get an aftermarket wheel with the right back spacing...stocker wheels with look not so good....i would just go the leveling kit and 35s..looks real good an clean..anything over 4 inch lift you can run a 37 and make it look good and clean!
little foot has a 6" with basically 35" tires. You can search for him in the member list and look at his gallery. I think it dosen't look bad at all, a 4.5-5" may look better though.
here is a picture of my truck the tire diameter is 34.7 after the convesion from metric they are 315 70 R17 procomp xtreme mud terrain. other pics in gallery.
