Yeah I guess it does work out right.
The difference in final drive ratio between 3.73's and 4.10's is 9%, but the difference in towing capacity is actually only 8.7%.
So yeah, in this case the change pays off.
Just so this doesn't confuse anybody, I think the biggest thing here is strain on the auto tranny and not necessarily what the whole truck is capable of. Just my thought there.

i just found it, i think you should be able to find the differing pulling weights by scrolling down to dodge.
