Default Road Trip Necessities

Just wondering what everyone packs up for their road trips in case of emergency? So far I've got a floor jack, breaker bar / torque wrench, fuel filter, tow strapandsome additive. That's just what I have sitting in my garage. Gonna pick up a CB and a GPS unit also.

The wife and Iare driving from MN to Fayetteville NC for a few days to watch a couple of my brothers games and then on the way home, taking a detour to Nashville for a few days. Gonna tow my parents Jetta TDI down for my brother. Should be a fun trip.

How about a good cup holder? Wouldn't want to spill your drink.

How about a fuel filter just in case you get a bad load or put bio-diesel in it and clog the fuel filter

Speaking of "Bad Loads" ~

Get about a half gallon Tupperware container and throw in a roll of TP, toothpicks, nail clippers, Bic lighter, a couple of 2-packs of headache remedies, condoms . . . . . . . .

Throw it in the trunk for the true emergencies.

Broke down in the middle of nowhere is one thing . . . . . . . broke down in the middle of nowhere with no TP is an entirely different ball game.
