Default air filter help

Hey, Im new to this so dont mind my stupid questions. I bought an amsoil 4090 filter and wanted to make shure it will fit on my 06 5.9, if so does anyone have any installation tips or directions.

Welcome aboard! I am running the 4090 with pre-filter on my AEM Bruteforce intake tube. I don't think that it will work with the stock airbox.

Thanks for the replies, I didnt figure it would work in the air box, but can i take that off and just use the factory down tube. BEN

the factory tube won't work without adding a piece of 4" tubing to connect the stock section to the filter.

Thanks Mike, i just figured it would go on there if i wrestled it, because everone put the BHAF on the stock tube. Im glad i asked

To get the BHAF filter on, I had to add a piece of 4" pipe and a 90° elbow. It was the first mod I messed with.A kind of crude first stab at an intake.
