heres the first contestant:

nothing that i know of.... i know i have heard bad things about k&n, i have heard nothing bad about S&B and the price range is at about a 3 out of 5 so i narrowed it down to this guy buy price mainly, but also reading in diesel power they gave it the best rating for cleaning the air

Well the expensive one looks to be a better made piece. The attachment of the tube to the box looks stronger, and the box has a mounting "ear" to hold it in place (important with the shaking of a diesel motor). However the less expensive one looks to have a larger filter element. Larger filter = less frequent cleanings. IfI was throwing around my coinI would chose the more expensive one. Always easy to spendsomeone elses money!Good luck!

I would probably want the one that filtered better, I dont know if you would notice 4.2% difference in flowing, but your engine probably wants to keep all the dirt out that it can. Have you looked at an icebox? They come with the amsoil filter and look pretty cool.

i seen the icebox and it does look like a nice unit but its close to double what these systems cost... i know i might be saying ya get what ya paid for down the line but the s&b doesnt look like it would be that bad of a choice for the price.
