Perhaps you might consider finding the serial number of the questionable winch, call the manufacturer, and have them see who they sent it to (for retail sales/distribution).

That should show who inadvertently sent it to you.


What to do? Do what you know to be right in your heart. What would your Momma tell you? What would you tell your child that finds an unclaimed bicycle in the neighborhood? How do you explain this mess to your maker?

Finders keepers . . .. well. What if it were your struggling parts company and you've found you've got an inattentive teenager shipping your profits out the back door?
