Default DRUM ROLL PLEASE

after much frustration, and money to fix my ctd, I found a major problem and am 1/2 way through the fix for it.

breif.....replaced pcm, and crank sensor. went to Dodge and had mechanic run his ODB scanner on it. found a trans N safety switch code. he crawled bellow to look andtouched the harness causing an arc thus shutting down the engine. so, I brought it home to investigate possible miniscule nicked conductors.

OHH FRICKIN NO!!!!! [:@][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif]

the neutral safety switch conductors, and the OD wire harness conductors had degraded to bare copper over a foot into the wire harness on top of the trans.....

this crap fell to pieces in my hands when I touched it.

I have removed the 5 conductors from the harness to the trans. fabricated new harness for the N safety switch and OD connectors..

will post pics when I am done.

this is a short break

How many times did you zap yourself playing with the harness

Glad you're getting to the bottom of the problems...hopefully this will be the last of the issues that beast gives you for a while.

I am suspectinmg that a new PCM was in order anyways. with the two sensors litteraly shorting out (dead short) , the old pcm may have been shorted internally too.

even installed that new crank sensor yesterday
