For some reason, I have to submit the post before I can see the. I was trying to write a DIY and I had to submit and edit after each picture to see where I was.[:@]

I tried that and they still don't show up. That's how it used to work when I was using IE.

I think frogger just posted something about this. She was talking about the URL something-or-other. Maybe it was dealing with something else...there...did that help

It's an IE to FF thing Kevin. In IE when you copy the pic it actually copies the URL data for you. When you copy in FF it actually copies the picture. Can't paste a picture in the thread here.

Right-click on the image you want and select properties. Then copy the URL information and paste that with the [IMG] .. [/IMG] tags. Then the image will show in the thread.

I think but I don't know for sure if there is a plug in to add that function to firefox but I guess I can go take a look and see what I can find.

Yeah, I think I figured it out.

What frogger is talking about is for hosted pictures and what she described works for them. In fact that helped me figure out how to get a sig picture in my posts (coming soon ).

My problem is I was trying to use pics I have on my computer and they have to be uploaded to posts and for some bizarre reason they don't show up in the text window while you write a post or reply.

I think it's a bug in FF 3 Beta 3 'cause I can't click on the quote button and get the HTML to pop up in the post like I could with IE either. I have to type the code in.[:@]

wow you're right they don't show when you embed an uploaded pic.....I never do that so I didn't know

I'm sure it has to do w/ the way the file is uploaded to the database and then a file path is created (local://upfiles/)

But I just dusted off the ol' IE and I don't see imbeded pics there either....sorry Bert no help for ya...glad I could help ya w/ your sig though
