RE: There Is No Gas Shortage
I made it thru the 1st link... couldnt do the 2nd... I dont believe there is any shortage of fuel anywhere...
Personally I think they should be investing in the alternative fuels. Since this is the diesel forum... I'll bring up the GTL fuel again, GTL is supposed to be pretty cheep to produce and there is an abundant supplie of all materials needed to make it. Shell is supposed to be joining Chevron in the distribution of it. Currently there is only one station locally that has the GTL and its in a blend. $4.19/gallon last time I peeked at it while driving by...

RE: There Is No Gas Shortage
Dang straight its the truth [:@] If you dont believe it, just investigate the market for a few minutes and look at the futures. And the ethanol thing is ridiculous, It is negative energy. (it takes more fuel to produce than you get out of it) Govt, subsidies are keeping it afloat. Besides, If we start growing food fo fuel in the U.S. we are setting ourselves up for a disaster. I am in the food business and if it was'nt for import food this country would starve in weeks. I say tell them to ram the etanol up their A$$$"s and start back gowing corn for what it was meant for. If you wonder why chicken, beef and pork are so high just go buy a load of feed. It has doubled and trippled in the last to years because of Al Gores crowd and the crooked ^%$# futures mkt. The pic on my avitar is of my friends hog farm. It was costing him $73 to raise a $80 hog from birth. Needless to say he sold his 800 brood sows a closed the farm down because of all of corn hype.you cant raise a goldfish for $7 profit and six months work. All because of the greedy futures. 90% of the U.S. will starve while the other 10% are getting fat. Just my 2 cents
