Yeah that's what I was thinking today. I burn a 100 gallons every day in the company truck.Pumped some this morning at $4.159 pretty cheap to what you guys paid but the highest I've seen so far. I only burn a $100 tankper month in the Ram.Was still $3.899 last saturday night back homecourse it likely hasn't gotten any cheaper in theshort timesince then..
I just don't get it. I thought diesel was supposed to drop in the spring because of lower demand? And why is the gap between diesel and gas still at a buck or more? Usually in the spring the two get closer in cost.
Wholesale price for diesel went up .12 cents yesterday, setting at $3.23 per gal. My price in my area is 4.19, has been for a few weeks. I see it going up another dime for the weekend. I haven't put any fuel in the truck for about a month, it sits in the driveway lookin' pretty. It only gets drove on tuesdays to the archery club as I can't get all my gear in the S-10. With camping season coming up and a couple of trips planned, I can envision huge amounts of black smoke rolling of the credit card!
As long as we keep exporting up to 500,000 barrels of diesel fuel a day to the EU the price will stay 50-90 cents a gallon higher then E-10 gas. Heck I can remember not that long ago (back in 2005) in my area when diesel was $1.68 or 25 cents a gallon cheaper then gas.
