6.7 dpf deleted
So I installed the edge last week and noticed that my truck was almost always in regen mode and the egt's were running 1100-1250 all the time. I figured that the dpf was probably on its way to clogging. I priced those dpf and cat delete kit from h&s and badptrucks and way too much money. Well after a 10' stick of 4" and a couple of clamps im good to go. I cut out the cat and dpf but left the muffler cause I heard it didn't amount to anything anyway. Took about 50" of 4", a clamp, and I slid the other end in the muffler clamp. After I fired it up for the first time it threw a code so I let it run and took it out for a spin and let it rack up the codes. After I brought it back I seen it only threw a o2 sensor code. I took the o2 sensor out of the cutout exhaust and drilled it in the new exhaust and bam, no engine codes. I've put 150 miles on it so far and no codes. The egt's dropped to the 700's and she finally blows some smoke. The only thing I wasn't too impressed with is that it still is not loud. I remember I cut the exhaust out on my 06 and the thing was way too loud, this didn't change much at all. The truck seems to run a hell of a lot better no with that emissions crap gone. Ill keep you all posted if something changes with it.

Boy did this post grap my eye! Awesome man, I hope you have luck with it gone. Please please please kep me updated on this. Could you by any chance get me a sound clip? How is your fuel mileage now compared to before? Can I get a picture of the mod, and a lighted pic of the inside of the DPF? (Just curious as to what it looks like.)
Also, is it any louder than it was at all?

As for the used dpf, i gave it to a friend to take it to the scrap yard. With the edge on it threw the code, i just cleared the code after i installed the o2 sensor and hasn't came on yet, and no regen cycle. I will def get a video with sound posted tomorrow. Inside the dpf there was just a metal screen, at least all I could see. The sound is a little louder especially in the cab but nothing that is gonna annoy you. I have been driving around on levels 3 to 5 pretty hard mileage is staying the same at 14.5(on the overhead) but blowing some smoke, performance is a hell of alot better than before. I think I have $100 most invested in this.

I am by no means worried about it being too loud. I want sound. I spent $500 on the MBRP Cool Duals and gained nothing from it. The DPF was a bad Idea on Dodge's part. I want my truck to be loud, and I want to blow smoke. If some kid in a ricer pulls up next to me I want to soot his car and let him know what a real engine sounds like.
So if I remove my DPF and install the 02 bug in my replacement pipe, I should be good?
