I have a question for all of those dodge cummins diesel owners and here is the question. The question is, "How many times do you fill up diesel in a week or two?" and the other question is, "How long does diesel in a tank last?"

The reasons I am asking you, all of as a proud dodge cummins owner and I am planning to buy cummins diesel and I am very curious about how long does diesel in one full of tank with diesel last. I want to tell you about my hemi and I really like it however it sucks on fuel and i have heard that diesel is the best on mileage on dodge ram. So please let me know how long does it last and what kind of mileage are you getting. Thanks.

I get steady 600 miles by the time the light comes up. I fill twice a month if I don't use the truck in the weekends.

 

Since my gas guage doesn't work , I go by the trip meter. I get a fill up every 300 miles. I filled it on 4/30, right before it went into the shop. Since I got it back, I haven't driven it anywhere but back home. :-)

I fill up at~ 500 miles and put in~ 30 gal for ~16 mpg.

really you got 16 miles to the gallon, but i thought that most dodge ram with diesel can get up to 22 mpg

 

I am getting about 17.5 mpg hand calculated with 65% city and 35% hwy (no interstate). What is your hemi getting and under what driving conditions?

 

just before last week if i got 400 miles out of a tank i was happy,but last week i change my VP44 and my tank was half and when i filled up today i was at 450miles
so im eager to see what a full tank will net me...

that was around 13.33 mpg and now 15mpg and i burned only the half tank whit my new pump...

i noticed that i have less boost now, i was able to reach 30 on 2-5 on edge and 42 on 5-5 and now on 2-5 no more than 22 and on 5-5 about 32...
i didnt checked the tap on the stealth cover,i guess the connection is poor cuz when i treaded the sharp screw it was likely striped on the plastic cover so i didnt forced in,i will glue a nut on the cover and then tread more in so no timing for now...thats prolly why i get more mpg and less psi....

How do you maintain 600 miles per tank and is it possible to keep diesel going on for 600 miles but my question is that how did you do it?

 

16 Isn't bad when you consider I drivein the parking lot known as Southern California. I swear every driver replaced the gas and brake pedals with toggle switches! My 1500 Z71 only got 13 mpg.
