Well, you've already started with a few of the basics with the intake and exhaust. Just remember that, for now, don't tow any higher than level 2 on that Edge. 1 - the EGT's will skyrocket and 2 - your tranny won't take it for long.

Other than drugs, increasing airflow if is the only way to bring and keep the EGT's in check. Sooooo, what I suggest, in this order and aside from what you've already done.

1 - new intake manifold
2 - new exhaust manifold
3 - new intercooler

The stuff below will require you to stud the heads and get a better (i.e. o-ringed) head gasket.

4 - twins (compound turbos)
5 - water / meth injection
6 - nitrous injection

Obviously, those are increasing expenses / difficulties.

Only things that reduce EGT's are more air or less fuel or the use of drugs.

With my current setup, I hit my boost limiter well before I get close to EGT limits.

I think you should look at the Smarty. I got one 2 weeks ago , and love it. I turned it all the way up, and on an all out run to 110 my egts only got 1300 ish. When I would try that with the hot juice I would be on the hot side of 1500. Hope this helps.

The Hypertech is the same way. It seems to max out around the mid 1300 range. I've hit 1405 one time but it was 107F outside (that's about as hot as it gets in TN!) and I was towing up a really steep hill.

what are your EGT's getting to??? if you can nail over 1350 with ease then yea, you need help, but if it takes a bit for you to hit 1200 then your OK.

with what you have done so far the only thing that may help out would be a turbo that flows more air. you dont need any more fuel right now, just more air to go with the fuel to cool things down.

a smarty is a programmer, http://www.madselectronics.com I have one, and there are many others here that have one. Ty(triton) is probably one of the best examples of what this programmer can do, with a little help from other things as well.

a good turbo is going to depend on what you use the truck mainly for, your best bet may be to talk to the turbo experts at HTT, or industrial injection. they can tell you exactly what you need.
