But see, you didnt get the point.... The point was that you're telling another member his opinion doesnt matter....despite the fact that he's a CTD owner. In fact, padodgeram and I disagree on ALOT of things....but he's also a very blunt and honest guy, which is why I agreed with him. You also made an assumption that because his daily driver is a gasser, that he has nothing to do with the CTD section...
And the same thing would happen if we were having this same discussion and someone with a Neon, a Stratus, or Dakota in there signature came in and posted a reply that insinuated someone was acting like a baby. It would be the same as if I went in and told the Neon R/T guys to "cool their jets". I'd get jumped on too.

But you did say his opinion didnt matter because he's not "involved" in it....which he clearly stated to not be the case....
After the fact.

The issue with OT is the same thing it has always been....1 of 2 reasons:
1.)people have their opinions and dont like being told they are wrong.
2.) people come in trying to make their opinion the only one that is right.

The truth is if more people were willing to talk without getting wound up and angry/stupid, we wouldnt even be having this disagreement. We'd be having a beer, laughing at some dumb ****, and having fun. Unfortunately, that's not the case...
You do realize that this is not Wonderland and people will never just "get along". So why add to that by moving posts to an area that they were not intended to be viewed. That's like pouringfuel on the flames if the topic is remotely off color or, like my "Hate Hondas" video, would probably also **** off the other Tuner Car drivers in this forum.

I can agree with this statement to a certain extent, but I could make the case for this arguement in a variety of other ways as well. I could say that people under 18 shouldnt be driving, or people who arent 25 shouldnt be having kids etc.... it's all a matter of opinion and the way you view things....

Honestly, despite what you might think, I do see your side of it and I do agree with you on some issues.
And I will concede that those are valid issues. But again, why add fuel to the fire by moving a thread that is geared toward a specific audience to a place outside that audience.

The point is this, the CTD section has a pretty tight knit crew. Most of us know each others personalities fairly well, considering many have never met. That all changes when things get move into an area that they may not be taken in the same light or even be understood with the same background.

There are "moderators" for a reason. They should be active in the discussions and should have a general ability to smooth the threads along. If it's a blatantly out of lane topic that would get better answers in another section, then by no means do I have issues with moving it. If someone suggeststhat maybe a thread should be moved, then absolutely there is probably a reason. If it remains active and people are involved and it doesn't turn "nasty", then why move or lock it?

That's what everyone is pissed about.

the new software devil is talking about is letting the same topic populate in multiple sections and will update on all sections when one section posts. Basically like a shared drive sytem amongst multiple users on multiple networks.

What should happen is for the admin to address this issue as it is their decision and its causing such an issue. I hope admin won't cut their nose off to spite their face. Oh my god I just used an expression my mom used on me when I was young, crap I'm an old fart at 25.

The part that is suprising to me is that Devil can't take this up the chain of command, or won't, look guys this has them really pissed maybe we should let ctd police themselves.

That is correct, at least that's my understanding for the new software...... so that this issue will actually be resolved more then it is now.

As for Admin addressing this issue, I am sitting here talking to you arent I? I could just say the hell with you all and ignore it....but I'm trying to be nice here and at least discuss it...

As for the moderators..... we have I believe 40 mods for a total of 90,000 members.....granted I'd say about 30k of those are active.... but even still...we're talking a section that has over 1000 posts a day....and your expecting mods to babysit these? It's just not going to happen....

I would agree that it would be nice to let adult topics and conversation happen. I see nothing wrong with that. However, when 9 out of 10 people go,"why do they get special treatment and we dont?!?!?!" What am I supposed to answer that with? It's either one for all or none for all....because that's the only REAL fair way.....

Again, like I said to Buzzy in the other post..... the CTD section usually does keep it clean, and most of you never leave the CTD side of the forum....so you have zero idea how it goes in other sections. The CTD section is large, but its not as large as the Neon sections or the 2nd/3rd Gen Ram/Dakota sections.... and they all got shut down too. If there really was a better way to manage it, where everyone wins, I'd be willing to listen at the very least...

The fact of the matter is this, it came DOWN from the Chain of Command...... so that's all there is to it......and again, we're not going to give any sections special privileges.....so forget that...

Tell them to learn to play nice amongst themselves like we do.

Then you should explain to them why a CTD owner is the reason for the entire thing being shut down.....

I have tried to avoid saying that, but unfortunately that is the truth. Like I said, the CTD section has always been very good about this sort of thing, but yes, even you have a few bad apples in your section.

It would be nice if we had the whole story here, if you are letting me run my mouth without the whole story that is one of my biggest pet peaves. Let me know the whole story and I will either back you or back off, that is how I run my crew.
