I do apreciate the wonders of the ADMIN and moderators to roam anonymously and freely "right the wrongs".

have you ever paid attention to the name calling and threats in the O T section by the "locals" down there??

months ago I was tryin to start a decent general discussion on immigration, and politics to only get major flack and name calling.

that didnt happen here in the CTD section when the subject was brought up that I noticed.

I do request that the ADMINS patrol the OT section and keep an eye "open" for people that get nasty beyond reason there as well. like you did here in the CTD area.

with my CTD carriage malfunctions (truck ..), I will not be on here for a while as I brain storm and repair my trans.

now, I am off to fix my 1959 VW BAJA so I have a quasi reliable vehicle to drive allowing me to keep an income of some sort rolling in while the truck is in line at the dog food factory.

Good Day!

First, I have read most (tried to read them all, just couldn't) posts that deal with this OT deal. The last time I tried to get on this site it was down for emergency service. I assume the OT overhaul was the reason? Trying to play catchup as I haven't been able to spend much time here in the last month (brother passed away). Didn't realize this was a big problem, must have missed something. I do commend Devils Reject for hanging around and taking the beating (mentioned this in another post). At least he is providing a target to vent to. I don't like the change myself, but "There house, there rules".

Im offended by Buzzy's sig...oh wait , Im the mod....hummmm
AZ, do you think that guy owns a cummins? If not he needs to! Ferds and Chebbies just couldnt handle the wieght
I think he should too. I think the Moderators an Administrators should be assigned to certain sections alone, the sections to which they belong in judging by what vehicle they drive.

I am glad we have a Moderator that is a fellow Arizonan as well. Name: PIC-0046.jpg

before anyone says it. Yeah, I had a GM tattoo. I am a chevy guy. But, after 2004 the silverado's went south. my ram is the first non GM vehicle I have owned. Still own a Chevrolet, and I will probably own many more, (pre 1979 of course.)

I kinda like our little disfunctional family here, and really am sad to see it change.

Time will tell the tale of what these changes bring for the forum in general. Ask any restaurant owner what is the quickest way to kill a good place and they'll tell you change it too much.

I guess I don't see the big picture, and yes I do subscribe to the old attage "don't fix what aint broke" I thought we were all getting on pretty well. I've had strong dissagreements with a couple of guys politically and then responded to a tech question a day or two later with one of those same guys. That is what makes this forum on this site different from the others I go to. We can have a heated discussion and not go overboard with it (my perception). I beleive that is how we ARE better or different from the others.

I also cringe at the old "fair for everyone" thing. Most every time it's been used it has been smoke and mirrors for an agenda. Way to far to the left for my tastes.

Oh well, I'm game to stick around and see how it pans out. If it's to my liking I'll hang, and if not I'll move on.

I agree with that. By buddies Aunt opened up a restraurant in Buckeye, Az, called "Darla's Country Kitchen." Great business. The only restaurant in town that was old fashoned, and hospitable. We would go in there every sunday after church for lunch, order the same thing everytime. The 2 waitresses that worked there remembered us every week, and had our drinks ready for us by the time we came in, and would tell us our orders were already in. Used to be the best place to eat. Until she sold the place to beaners. They got rid of the picnic tables, and put in cheap uncomfortable space saving plastic crap, and the place just went south from there. The food sucked, the service sucked. Now the place has no business at all anymore. Change ruins everything.
Just like our trucks. 5.9 is legandary. Then Cummins comes out with the 6.7, adds a bunch of smog BS, and all of a sudden just about every 2007 6.7 has problems. Leave sh*t alone.
If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Which explains Drew's sudden challange when it comes to typing.

I can understand where the admins are coming from. I do frequent a couple of other forums besides this one, but tend to read/post this one the most because of its CTD members. A smaller membership that shares the same disfunctional views for the most part. The difference I see with this one vs others is that this forum is a dodge forum, where the others I frequent are all diesel related. So an OT post in an all diesel forum draws a far different audience than a post in the OT section here because the CTD membership is small in comparison to the rest.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds, I like the way things were, I hate to see participation drop because of the enforced change.
